Messages

The Messages feature allows clients to easily communicate information with their vendors, contractors and suppliers.  Use this feature to communicate important policy updates, emergency preparedness information or hazard alerts pertinent to your locations.   Messages can be sent to your entire network specific companies depending on the situation with a number of different filtering options available.


From the dashboard select the Messages link on the left sidebar, you will see your inbox along with any messages you have received.  You can filter your inbox by selecting the drop-down next to Inbox to view your sent, deleted and draft messages.


  


Creating a Message


To compose a message select the New Message button on the right side of the screen.  You will then see a form that should look very similar to most email platforms that you might use.  From here you can add your recipients, a subject line, any attachments if needed, and compose your message.  



Adding Recipients


Use the Select Recipients button to determine who will receive this message.  A screen will show up that allows you to select either all vendors, vendors by site/business unit or individual companies and users.  Select the applicable sites from your drop-down list and your message will be sent to the vendor contacts and administrators for any company that has selected those locations on their Appruv account.  If you select None you can can scroll down and search for individual companies or users within the Appruv database.  After you have identified the recipients for your message select the Save button to return to the body of your message.  




To view a summary of companies and users that will receive your message you can select the Details link on the To line of your message.  If you need to modify any of the recipients you can go back to the Select Recipients link any time.  At this point you can fill in your subject line, add any attachments and complete the body of your message before sending. Once sent your vendors will receive an email notice from Appruv that contains your message.  The vendors will also see an alert on their Appruv dashboard showing new messages and can view the message within the Appruv web app.
