Tags

What are "Tags"?

Tags help to organize or group vendors based on information that is important to you.  Tagging allows you to freely choose the keywords that describe your vendors, which makes them easier to organize and find in the database.  Once tagged, other users can then search using these tags providing another level of search capability created by the users.

Adding Tags

You can assign and/or add new tags to vendors from the vendor details page.  Select the "+" sign next to the tag icon on the status bar to apply an existing tag or create a new one.  To apply an existing tag simply select the tag in the list and it will be saved to the vendors account.  If you want to create a new tag select "Create New Tag" and enter your tag in the provided text box.  By default your tags are only visible to you, if you would like others to be able to use your tag select the "Available to other users" check box before creating your new tag. 

Searching with Tags

You can search with tags from the Vendor Search page on the left sidebar.  Select the Tags drop-down to see a list of tags that have been created in the database.  Select Search Vendors and any vendor with the selected tag(s) will be displayed in your search results.
