Disable a user when the person no longer works for your company or no longer needs access to your Appruv account.
Disabling a user prevents future access while preserving the historical account record.
Before disabling a user
Determine whether the person:
- Is the company’s primary contact.
- Is the only Company Administrator.
- Receives required compliance notifications.
- Has outstanding training or account responsibilities.
Assign these responsibilities to another active user before disabling the account.

Disable a user
- Log in to Appruv.
- Select Users from the left navigation menu.
- Select the user you want to disable.
- Select Edit User.
- Open the Login tab.
- Change User Status to Disabled.
- Select Save.
The user will no longer be able to access the account. The user’s historical information will remain associated with your company.

View disabled users
- Select Users.
- Select the Disabled filter or checkbox.
- Select Search Users.
Re-enable a user
- Locate the person using the Disabled filter.
- Open the user’s record.
- Select Edit User.
- Open the Login tab.
- Change the status to Enabled.
- Review the person’s contact information, roles, and permissions.
- Select Save.
A password reset or new activation message may be required before the user can log in.
Important: Review company users regularly and disable accounts that are no longer needed.
