How to Upload Business Licenses and Certifications

Modified on Fri, Jul 17 at 11:01 AM

Some clients require contractors to provide current business licenses, trade licenses, certifications, or registrations as part of prequalification.

Before uploading

Confirm that the document:

  • Was issued to your company or the applicable license holder.

  • Covers the services your company will perform.

  • Applies to the required jurisdiction.

  • Includes the license or certification number.

  • Shows the effective and expiration dates, when applicable.

  • Is complete, current, and readable.

Examples may include contractor licenses, trade licenses, professional certifications, and state or local business registrations.

Upload the document

  1. Log in to Appruv.

  2. Open the applicable client application.

  3. Locate the license or certification requirement.

  4. Enter any requested details, such as the license number, issuing authority, or expiration date.

  5. Select Upload and choose the appropriate document.

  6. Review the information for accuracy.

  7. Select Finalize & Submit when the application is ready for review.

Multiple licenses

Upload each required license separately when the application provides more than one requirement. Clearly identify the jurisdiction, trade, or service associated with each document.

Important: A general business registration may not satisfy a requirement for a specific contractor or trade license.

If a license is not required

If your company is not required to hold the requested license, provide an explanation and supporting information when the application allows it. Appruv or the client may request additional documentation to verify the exemption.
