An Inactive status indicates that the contractor’s relationship or prequalification process is no longer active.
A contractor may become inactive when:
- It does not respond to an initial invitation.
- It does not complete annual renewal.
- Required information remains outstanding.
- The client no longer needs the contractor.
- The relationship is intentionally deactivated.
- A project-specific connection ends.
Inactive contractors may have reduced visibility in searches and reports.
Before reactivating a contractor
Confirm that:
- The contractor is expected to perform future work.
- You selected the correct company.
- The intended site or business relationship is still applicable.
- The contractor should be asked to resume prequalification.
Do not reactivate a company solely to view historical information if reactivation is not otherwise needed.
Request reactivation
- Log in to Appruv.
- Search for and open the inactive contractor.
- Locate Reactivate on the contractor’s status bar.
- Select Reactivate.
- Review the confirmation page.
- Select the option to request reactivation.
Appruv will notify the contractor that your organization has requested reactivation.

What happens next?
The contractor may need to:
- Log in to its existing account
- Complete missing information
- Renew its application
- Upload current documents
- Complete payment, when applicable
- Respond to Appruv review requests
Appruv Support may monitor the request and assist the contractor with resuming the process.
The contractor can also resume independently by logging in and selecting Complete Missing Items, when that option is available.
Important: Reactivation does not automatically restore a Prequalified status or authorize work. The contractor must complete the applicable requirements.
Contractor does not respond
Confirm that the contractor’s contact information is current. Provide updated contact information to Appruv Support if necessary.
